The original Samantha and Endora costumes are on sale

Historic Bewitched collection pieces are available on the auction website

Two iconic pieces from the wardrobe of the popular TV show Bewitched were recently made available for fans to bid on in a virtual auction. The auction was held by Heritage Auctions, a well-known auctioneer specializing in luxury items and Hollywood collections. Founded in 1976, Heritage Auctions is the largest auction house of its kind in the United States and the third largest in the world.

One of the items up for auction was the famous metallic green dress with a high collar and black cape overlay worn by Elizabeth Montgomery in the show. Fans could bid on this iconic dress for an opening bid of US$40,000.00. According to the auction website, the dress was used throughout the show's 5th season, with a special emphasis on its appearance in the episode S05E25 "Power Failure" during the witches' council scene.

Another important piece from Bewitched's wardrobe that was available for auction was the classic long lilac costume with an emerald green vest, which was exclusively worn by Agnes Moorehead. However, this costume was already sold in June 2023 to a lucky buyer who paid a whopping US$18,750.00 to add it to their collection.

Heritage Auctions has had other memorable television items as part of their collection as well. For instance, the sexy costume worn by Barbara Eden in the 1st season of I Dream of Jeannie (1965 - 1970) was also sold at the auction. The complete outfit, including a red velvet bolero-style jacket with puffy pants, a pillbox hat, and heels, was purchased by a buyer for the sum of US$ 62,500.00.

Another item sold at the Heritage Auctions was a silk robe worn by Desi Arnaz in the early years of I Love Lucy (1951 - 1957). A collector paid a hefty sum of US$27,500.00 to take it home. Furthermore, costumes worn by Adam West and Burt Ward in the popular Batman series (1966 - 1968) were also part of the auction collection. The costumes were sold for an astronomical amount of US$615,000.00.

Anyone interested in the auction or just curious about the Heritage Auctions website and their vast collection of luxury items and Hollywood memorabilia can check out their website. The site's collection is truly impressive and definitely worth a visit. Enjoy exploring!
